Dear Iain,
Just listened to "Woodstock" again for the first time in many years. I remember being a young girl in 1971 and listening to it on the radio. It is my very favorite version. Would love to see you live in the US sometime!
Sincerely,
Jody Lancaster

I'm glad I found your website Ian. I've been an early fan since the late Fairport days. I had one of your early solo albums on vinyl and have transferred two of the songs :Reno,Nevada and Desert Inn ,onto my iPhone. It brings me back to a time in my life, now long gone, when my adolescent insecurities were soothed by your sounds. I heard the"Fly" on lead most clearly then, as well. I've followed his career to local events like Hardly Strictly BG in GG Park, S.F. I ramble but so be it. I practice as a physician, but play as a Bassist. I can still get a chill when I hear "Tam Lin" from Fairport. I wonder what might have been if Sandy Denny had not passed.

Just started listening to 'Collected' which my daughter asked you to sign after performing at the Rope Walk, Barton on Humber, where she works. Great to hear your music again after a gap of about 30 years! All the best for 2012.

Hi, I just had to buy the mp3 download of this album from Amazon. Wow it takes me back to a great time in my life. One of freedom and experimentation. I passed many hours listening to this great album. I'm amazed after 40 years I can sing along with every word. Thanks Iain.

The Gig at  Butlins at the weekend was a great Triumph and took me back to the days of The Belfry (sutton Coldfield ) some 40 odd years ago.Iain You were as great then as you are now and the new band is really tight. All the best and THANK YOU .

Iain

A fantastic concert at Barton - my wife and I really enjoyed the reworkings of the "old" MSC material and have spent the weekend re-listening the Second Spring and Later That Same Year - wonderful stuff.  One question though - why is Richard Kennedy not involved with the tour as we really enjoyed his playing on Contact?  Please please though make another recording with these guys as it is such a lovely contrast to your also wonderful work with the Searing Quartet.  Thanks for continuing to make fantastic music for those truly capable of listening.

Best wishes

Hi there,

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the gig tonight at Barton. First time I have seen you perform, but I am sure will not be the last!

Purchased your new album and enjoyed listening to it on the drive back to Grimsby!

Best of luck to you and the guys for the rest of the tour
